Roommate Quest!

Embarking on an urban odyssey for a shared flat, Laura and David navigate through a maze of the quirkiest roommates one could imagine. From fortunetellers and life coaches to life advice doled out through a cat flap, and the near-death experience of a stoned philosopher, in each episode, the two stumble from one absurd encounter to the next.

Zimmer Gesucht is a five-part series that was filmed in Bayreuth and the surrounding area over nine days. The series is the graduation project of Tobias Sybel (production) and Florian Friedrich (concept and direction) from the applied Media Studies programme at the University of Bayreuth.

Those who initially hoped for a large, old building with a balcony will soon realize that they're not the only applicant even for a basement apartment in the suburbs. 13 Those searching for a shared apartment might not always come back with the room they hoped for, but they invariably return w ith a w hole a rray o f c razy s tories.
